Orders and Payment
Purchase orders and credit cards (Visa/ Mastercard/ American Express) will be accepted from all government agencies within the United States and from major corporations for merchandise shipped within the U.S.A.
Foreign Orders
Certain products may not be exported from the U.S.A. without specific approval of the U.S. Department of Commerce and/or Department of State. It is the Buyer's responsibility, not the Seller's, to obtain the required licensing, unless otherwise agreed by STI. All Foreign Orders must be prepaid or include an irrevocable guarantee of payment by a U.S. Bank. Prepayment must include all transportation, insurance and document fees.
Credit Terms
Open account billing will be extended to federal, state, county and municipal government agencies and private industry after acceptance by STI credit department. Orders must be accompanied with a voucher or purchase order. The use of company checks or open account must be approved by our credit department.
Tax
Any order shipped within the state of California is subject to California state sales tax (7.75%) unless purchased for resale or as an otherwise tax exempt transaction. STI must have on file a valid tax exempt resale card or nonprofit corporation certificate.
Shipping
All shipments are made F.O.B. Shipping Point, Manteca, CA. Shipment to destinations within the U.S.A. will be made via United Parcel Service or Federal Express. Most shipments are made UPS 3-Day Select. Transportation charges will be added to the order. Most orders ship 3 to 4 weeks A.R.O. Custom built, foreign orders and special order items may require a longer delivery period.
Returns
No merchandise will be accepted for return without a Return Authorization Number. All merchandise accepted for return and returned in the original packaging, is subject to a restocking charge of at least 20 percent of the original invoice. Returns will only be granted within 30 days of the original purchase date. No returns allowed on custom built or special order items.
Warranty
STI warrants to the purchaser that equipment manufactured by STI will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Defects caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, modifications, negligence, unauthorized repairs and/or other causes beyond the control of STI are not covered by this warranty. Products distributed by STI are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty only. STI will assist in obtaining warranty repairs; however, the company offers no advance
replacements.
Upgrade paths
We consistently improve our product line as new technology becomes available. STI provides an upgrade path for each major design improvement. We are dedicated to providing upgrade options to customers who purchased earlier designs.
Other conditions
Typographical errors and omissions are subject to correction. Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. Having no control over the use of any product in the buyer's possession, STI assumes no liability associated with its use. Under no circumstances will STI be liable for any loss, damage or expenses of any kind out of the use or inability to use, the products or the suitability of use for any particular task.
All orders are subject to acceptance by STI. We reserve the right to refuse any order at any time. By placing an order the Buyer signifies and agrees to accept these terms and conditions of sale.
